Volunteering

Our fantastic volunteers power our movement and make the countryside a better place to live, work and enjoy.

For Volunteers' Week 2024, some of our younger volunteers have shared their experiences with us. Find out how they've been making change.

Why volunteer with us?

Are you passionate about protecting and enhancing our countryside? Would you like to help bring about change in your community and have the chance to meet like-minded people along the way? By volunteering with a local CPRE you could do just this, whilst gaining a wealth of skills and undergoing all the appropriate training needed for you to make a real difference in your local area.

Our volunteers support us in many different ways including the leadership of local CPRE groups, fundraising, providing specialist advice, managing social media channels, maintaining websites, picking litter and much more!

We want you to have an excellent volunteering experience with us, and so we’ve made commitments to our volunteers.

Want to help protect and enhance our countryside?

We couldn’t do what we do without the support of our amazing trustees and volunteers.  Our Trustees and volunteers have been instrumental to our success and with your support we can achieve even more.

Our dedicated trustees and volunteers play a vital role in supporting us through fundraising, providing expert advice, governance, social media management, website upkeep, and more, each contributing significantly to the preservation of our cherished countryside. Join our friendly team to gain new skills, receive training, attend social events, workshops, and our annual conference. Be a part of CPRE North and East Yorkshire – Search roles and find out more for a warm welcome!
