East Riding Local Plan Social Media Toolkit
Thanks for helping to spread the word of the East Riding Local Plan.
Your voice counts! The more people that respond to this consultation and speak up for the countryside, the stronger the case will be for the Council to recognise and respond appropriately (all Councils are required to evidence to the Planning Inspectorate how they have taken consultation responses into account).
That’s why it’s important to help spread the word that the Local Plan scoping consultation is live. One of the most effective ways to do this is from your social media account. To make it as easy as possible, we’ve crafted some copy and images for you to download and use on your social media account.
Step 1 – copy and paste the below copy into your social media post
Did you know East Riding Council has restarted its Local Plan, proposing almost 32,000 new homes and over 1,000 acres of commercial development? 🚨
With 80% of East Riding farmland classed as top-tier food-producing soil and over a quarter of the land at high flood risk, we need development that protects our green spaces, not unchecked sprawl.
CPRE North & East Yorkshire has produced a free guide to help residents respond before 31st August.
Download your free guide here: https://www.cpreney.org.uk/east-riding
Step 2 – download the below image and use it in the post
If you’re on a mobile, long press on the image and select ‘save to photo album’. If on a desktop, right click the image and select ‘save’.
