The votes are in, and you’ve helped to choose our CPRENY Photographer of the 2020!! We had an amazing 286 entries this year.
We’re please to announce that Emma Bruce was the voters choice as the CPRENY Photographer of the 2020.
Emma Bruce, snapped the top prize of £200 and a one year subscription to CPRE.
Emma says: “Driving along the beautiful North Yorkshire Country side, I came across something I have never seen before – a green phone box. I just had to stop and take a photo.”

Emma says: “Autumn leaves don’t fall, they fly and take their time to land while adding an magnificent colour on the beautiful graveyard of Helmsley.”

Richard says: “Arkengarthdale holds special memories for me as a child. My Dad was a Dorset Sheep Farmer and would only take holidays from there to a working farm just outside Reeth. During those holidays, many a day was spent walking and Picnicking in the glorious Arkengarthdale and I thought how beautiful and lucky I was to holiday in this Dale as a youngster. Upteen years later the beauty of the Dale has no way changed, but now I live up North and don’t have to wait for holidays to visit Arkengarthdale Dale. Every sunny day I spend in Arkengarthdale or Swaledale now takes me right back to those cherished childhood memories.”

Special Commendation Award:
A 9 year old boy has entered some amazing photos into this year CPRENY Photography Competition. The Trustees were so impressed with his photos that we are giving Theo a special commendation Award for his outstanding photography. This young man has produced a calendar with all his photos to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Mind Charity.
